THE HISTORY

It all began in the early 1940s as Mr. and Mrs. Hirschthal set up a small workshop in Tel Aviv, making lingerie for the local market.
All the work was meticulously hand sewn by Mrs. Hirscthal. The wives of British officers who bought the made-to-order items were the first clients of what was to become the bathing-suit empire Diva.
In 1948 Diva started manufacturing swim wear using the know-how of brassieres and lingerie and immediately started exporting to Egypt, Lebanon then entered Europe and the US.
In the 70’s Diva became a brand known for its elegance, perfect fit, flattering silhouette, exclusive designs and innovative fabrics in swim and beach wear.
Diva expanded abroad and opened two subsidiaries: Je suis in Germany and Diva fashions in New York.
